Last weekend was really well spent in Yong Peng High School. Its the event whereby musicians from Malaysia and Singapore come together for a night of music making. Got reminded of why I like being in the band so much, of meeting new and old friends, of having fun and being young. Also, to meet my so ever crazy section mate of close to 6 years again feels like I'm back to the good old clarinet section times in ntu. I feel proud of him, seeing how he has grown (no, not sideways) as a conductor, him conducting the band, motivating and nurturing students. I am glad I chose to go and I'm even missing it now. As a band member, we will always be bonded by music. We work hard and we play hard. The after practice/concerts lunch/dinner/supper is always so enjoyable whereby we gossip, talk crap and relax after a hard day of practice. That's what I like being a band member!
