Results for Yr 1 sem 2 was released last friday. Remember the maths module I talked about? It turned out to be not too bad, and that also means that I just met the requirement to stay on ABP. Actually you could say that ABP is a flexible programme. The requirement is to take a minimum of 22 AUs per sem(~7-8 modules) and maintain a CPA of at least 4.25/5. The advantage is that you'll have higher priority when allocating electives and that you'll graduate in 3.5 years. If you didn't manage to maintain 4.25 GPA, you'll be dropped out of the programme automactically, with no consequences. Well, the only thing for consideration would be the overloading part. 7-8 modules per sem is quite hectic I would say, unless some of the modules are non-examinable or pass/fail type. Anyway, since I managed to stay on, I've decided to give myself a chance. If 7-8 modules is proven to be too taxing on me, I would give it up.

Talking about results, this is also the first time I'm consumed by fear while waiting for the results page to load, or rather when hearing news that the results are released at 12mn. I could feel myself trembling and my heart was beating fast, really fast. I guess, at this stage of life, result is most important? It determines the class of honours I'll get, it determines my future. However, result is not everything as well. Anyway, talking about my future, its quite depressing that most of us only know that we can either be reseacher or teacher. What are the other options available? Seriously, I've never thought of myself as a reseacher till now. A teacher? I'll only consider that if that's the only option left. Oh well, I know that are more (right?)... but what are they? For a moment, my future is so bleak. I cannot even answer my mum's question when she asked about what will I be doing after I graduate.*pondering*

Anyway, something that is interesting and fun!! I've finally learnt how to skate last saturday! =) Its really fun! Hahaha and I wanna skate again! Last saturday was band bbq at adeline's house in the evening. So before that, we met at ECP for some activities before going over to her house. Guess what. Most of the band members knew how to cycle but not skate. And interestingly, mostly who do not know how to skate wanted to learn. So, its a group of newbies learning skating together! Which also means that its alright to fall down and you are not the only one who keep on falling down. =) I fell twice, the first time I fell on one side of my butt. *Ouch* It really is painful. Luckily it wasn't anything serious. I've also come to realise that its actually quite dangerous to skate, that is you fall backwards and your head hit the ground first. Unfortunately, there was one such accident the day I went. Besides that, I've also seen people with severe and long term injuries due to skating. *Wonder if your knee injury has recovered* So ya, do be careful! Anyway, I said I wanna skate again but I'm having second thoughts. Haha... why so? I'm afraid that the next time I go, I won't find it as fun as last Sat and that would be a 'spoiler'. Oh well... hahaz. Anyway, I would say skating would be an expensive activity if you do not have your own skates, because it cost $10 per hour to rent it. So.. I guess if you want to skate frequently, its best to get one on your own. Hmm... should I? Hahaha. Ayee.. I remembered you wanted one for your birthday.. but I didn't get it for you in the end... Nice day out at ECP!

Bbq at adeline's house was fun, though it could be more fun if not for the tiredness. I finally know the answer to the 'bangX3 who died' and 'Black magic' game. Haha, lame games, but fun laz... At least, they could kill bordem. Get to interact with other people as well which is good! The best part, but short-lived would be the period of time where the woodwinds vs the brasses in charades (though not all participated). Woohoo~ The clarinet game is starting to be played by everyone else. It could be a game for bonding for everyone. =) Finally get to see the winnie the pooh collection adeline has. Gosh, she really love her pooh laz. Hugging him and claiming him to be her 'laogong'. Haha, luckily its not barbie dolls she's hugging. Heez..

By looking at how my Aunt worry about my cousin who is insensible and rebellious, I can more or less feel sorry for her and, raising a child in not easy at all! Haiz, she raise her own son from when he's an infant to now, only to suffer more and getting insulted from her own son. We as children will never see how our parents suffer for us isn't it. Growing up is selfish. I guess only when we are parents ourselves, we can then fully understand the sufferings our parents went through and appreciation, cherish them.

Learn to take criticism with a positive mind. Though I'm still confused and don't know what you are referring to when saying that, I'll continue to search and improve! And... its also sad to hear it, though I know its for my own good. Go yanting!

Hahas. Glad you did well for your results =) haven seen you on the few outings we had wors. When free?

I guess criticism is a form of feedback as well bah. Though negative, we can seek improvements if we do evaluate them =D

Yea i agree with u, YMH... Criticisms are seen by some as tripping stones while others can also see it as a form of motivation and feedback on improvements so it is all about how we perceive it. Anyways grats on the good results and yea remember have confidence in yourself!

Oh and yea do take care while skating, its a fun sport but at the same thing very injury prone, best would be to have full guards on (helmet, wrist guard, knee guard, elbow guard)and ensure you tighten your blades real tight, thought you will feel slightly rigid but that way you can keep your injuries to bare minimum as well as skate more at any one day as you wont be so affected by falls ^^
